Are you a comic fan? Own an iPhone? Well, today's your lucky day. Marvel is allowing iOS users to access more than 15,000 comic books for $0.99. You can browse through the Marvel Vault, check out the comic books that you love, or just see what Marvel comics are all about (and why so many people go nuts over these comics!).

Marvel is allowing access to these comics as part of the company's introduction to SXSW. Marvel hopes that a new generation of comic book fans will check out the comics, and the company will definitely make a few bucks on this new library of comics too. What types of comics will be available? Marvel really wanted to mix it up by adding nearly everything to the vault, including some old classics.

The Whole Shebang

You'll find a plethora of comics in the Marvel vault including classics like Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel is letting each user download up to 12 comics at once. If you want to check out what Marvel has to offer, now's the time to do it. Marvel's comic vault pricing will jump to $9.99 per month; $69 per month for a basic plan; and $99 per year for a premium plan.

The current promotion will only last for the month of March. After that, you'll have to pay a lot more to access all of those comics, so start reading now! Marvel will be at SXSW to talk about the company's new comic book offer, and to let fans in on other Marvel news. If you happen to be attending the conference, make sure to check out what Marvel is offering.

Why Bother?

If you've never really taken the time to read through any Marvel comics, now's the best time. Marvel's comics have been popular for decades, and it's not often that you can access thousands of these books for such a low price. It is somewhat unfortunate that Marvel is only opening up the vault to iOS users, but that's just how the cookie crumbles in this case.

Marvel doesn't plan to open up the vault to any Android users, unfortunately, in the near future, so you'll have to get an iOS device if you want to see what Marvel has been doing over the past few years. The Marvel collection will be in the app store starting this Saturday. The collection will be accessible until March 14th. After that, you'll have to pay to read through all of Marvel's treasures.

There's one last reason why you should attend the SXSW conference too: Marvel fans that show up at the conference will get an exclusive copy of 'Winter Soldier: The Bitter March.' This edition won't be available elsewhere (even after the event), so it's really something you'll want if you are a comic book collector - or just a really big Marvel fan.
