Adobe has the photo editing market cornered. This has been the case for years. But now that more people are buying tablets than computers, Adobe has to adjust. Adobe’s latest editing of Photoshop Touch has been modified to fit tablet screens. In particularly, Adobe has aimed for Apple’s iPad Mini and Google’s Nexus 7 tablet. The app works great on other tablets too, but Adobe had the iPad and Nexus 7 in mind when updating the app.

If you’ve ever tried to use Photoshop Touch on a small screen, you know just how frustrating the process can be. Attempting to touch-up a photo when you’re working with a small screen is just plain exhausting. Thankfully, the new Photoshop Touch has been created just for those small screens, and Adobe promises that the new app will also have a few extra features. Are you ready for what Adobe has created? If you like editing your photos on your 7-inch tablet, you’ll want to keep reading.

What the New Adobe Photoshop Touch for Tablet Includes

The biggest feature that Adobe has added is support for three iPad styli. The app now supports The Pogo Connect, Jot Touch, and Jaja Stylus. There are also some new added effects. Since Adobe Photoshop isn’t really Adobe Photoshop without a plethora of effects, fans will be happy to know that Adobe has created brand new effects for the 7-inch tablets on the market. Users will find a new Stamp Pattern and Lens Flare have been added to the app.

Adobe claims (in a press release) that the new app also comes with better tools. Updated brush strokes and a new color selection option are included in the app. Lastly, it’s a lot easier to share touched-up photos directly from the Photoshop Touch app. Users can post photos via Facebook or Twitter to display work. If you already have Photoshop Touch, the good news is that you won’t have to pay for the upgrade – Adobe is offering this upgrade for free.

Pricing, Availability, Updates, and Other Details

If you don’t have Photoshop Touch already, the cost to purchase the app is $9.99. This price is on the high side, but tablets provide the perfect surface for editing photos, and there’s no better way to create professional-grade photos than with Photoshop Touch. The app is currently available through Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, and iTunes.

Even though Adobe has clearly targeted Apple and Google users with the newly formed app, it’s important to point out that the app will work well with any 7-inch tablet. Since many 7-inch tablets are flooding the market these days, eager consumers will likely welcome apps that suit the smaller screen size with open arms.

Adobe has always done well with its Photoshop products, and there’s little doubt that Photoshop Touch will prove to be any less successful. If you are looking for a way to edit photos on your tablet (but don’t want to mess around with editing apps that aren’t designed for smaller screens), Adobe’s Photoshop Touch is the way to go.
