Facebook wants to be part of your conversation. Every conversation. Every conversation that you have when you speak to anyone or write anything - including blog posts.

Today, Facebook rolled out embedded posts for blogs. What this means for bloggers is a way to show the world what's happening on your Facebook page directly inside of your blog post. Need more info? Here are some tips.

Using Facebook Embedded Posts

Once Facebook enables your account, you will see a small "embed post" sign next to any public post you create. Note: your posts have to be set to public in order to use the embedding feature. Once you click on this option, you will be given a line of code. Take this code to your existing blog, and paste the code into the HTML section of your site. Voila! You now have embedded posts.

Okay, so what the heck is an embedded posts? It's kind of like what Twitter and YouTube already do. It provides a way to post updates to a blog from your Facebook page in real-time. It's a way to keep Facebook part of the conversation, and it's also a fun way to show people that you are social. Don't share any public posts? You aren't alone.

Most Posts Aren't Public

Nearly 72% of Facebook users set posts to private. But, Facebook is trying to change this. If you have an article, blog post, or idea that you want the world to know about, make that post public. Who knows, you may even get a follower or two, right? Plus, you can embed that post in your blog, and hopefully a reader or two will go to your Facebook page to see what's happening.

Embedded posts are a great way for companies to engage blog readers too. If you currently run a business, making sure that your readers are connecting with you socially is the best course of action. After all, that's what social sites are for. But, you may have to wait awhile if you want to use this new Facebook feature.

Limited For Now

At the time of this writing, Facebook embedding options are limited to specific news channels including The Huffington Post, CNN, Mashable, The Bleacher Report, and People Magazine. Facebook will roll out the option to regular users soon.

Is it hard to implement a Facebook post? Not at all. While the concept of embedding posts seems a bit on the technical side, Facebook has set up this feature so that anyone can use it. Really, all it takes is a bit of playing around with your blog post - just add the code and proceed.

Facebook embedded posts will look best at the end of a blog post, but you can add Facebook comments anywhere you wish. All you need is that super handy code, which should be available soon.

Will you use Facebook embedded posts? Is this feature something that you want? Let me know in the comments below if this is a good or a bad idea!
